Syria Forecast: Opposition Repeats Pre-Conditions for Any “Peace” Talks

TODAY’S SYRIA INSIGHT ANALYSIS

EAworldview Scott Lucas & Joanna Paraszuk – 11.11.2013 – The major developments of the week came on the military front, but they only reinforced the “dynamic stalemate” between the regime and the insurgency. The Syrian military — with help from Hezbollah fighters — had success in Aleppo Province, with the capture of as-Safira to the east of its besieged areas of Aleppo, and advances in the southern Damascus suburbs. The insurgents, however, took a key location and a haul of weapons when they overran the Mahin ammunition depot in Homs Province.

YARMOUK PALESTINIAN CAMP IN DAMASCUS UNDER FIRE & STARVATION

Yarmouk Palestinian refugee camp, #Damascus, 10-11-2013: This two-month-old Palestinian baby, Omar Hussein, died earlier today of starvation and a lack of medical materials due to the months-long regime siege on Yarmouk refugee camp in Damascus.
Western ‘friends of Palestine’ (sic), including George Galloway, Cynthia McKinney, Dennis Kuchinch, Mairead Maguire and Ramsey Clarke continue to support the Assad regime. Perhaps they should explain to Omar Hussein’s grieving parents exactly how starving their baby son to death qualifies as an act of ‘resistance.’

DIE BLUTIGE LEUKEFELD KLÄRT ÜBER IHRE KOOPERATION MIT DIKATUREN AUF

Leukefeld: Mit Diktatoren kann sie gut – 28. Oktober 2013

Keine äußere Einmischung in Syrien / NO to Foreign Intervention in Syria – Ausser: Iran & Hezbollah

“If we don’t defend the Syrian regime, it would fall within two hours,” said Ali, a 27-year-old Lebanese fighter who has served with Hizballah for more than 10 years. He requested that only his first name be used. “Our leadership [in Lebanon] took the decision that it would not be acceptable for Syria to fall [to the Sunni-dominated rebels] because we would be encircled by enemies in Syria and Israel.”

Und weiter berichtet die Time:
