Heinz Dieterich oder Heinz Dieterich Steffan (* 1943 in Rotenburg (Wümme)) ist ein deutscher Sozialwissenschaftler und Autor mit den Arbeitsschwerpunkten Nationalökonomie, Kritik der politischen Ökonomie und politische Soziologie. Er verfasste das Standardwerk „Der Sozialismus des 21. Jahrhunderts“ (1996), welches weltweit bereits in mehreren Auflagen erschienen ist, sowie zwei Bücher mit bzw. über Noam Chomsky. Nach Verlagsangaben ist Dieterich der meistveröffentlichte Autor zeitgenössischer politischer Werke auf Kuba.
Nach einer Lehre als Großhandelskaufmann im Holz- und Baustoffhandel erlangte er über den zweiten Bildungsweg die Hochschulreife, studierte Soziologie bei Theodor W. Adorno und Max Horkheimer in Frankfurt am Main und promovierte schließlich in Bremen.[1] Damals wurde er auch mit Joschka Fischer bekannt. Seit 1977 ist Heinz Dieterich Professor mit einem Lehrstuhl für Soziologie und Methodologie an der Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) in Mexiko-Stadt.
Neben Arno Peters gilt Heinz Dieterich als Protagonist der neuen „Bremer Schule“ der Sozialwissenschaftler, die sich für eine Ihrer Ansicht nach “gerecht(er)e” und vor allem ökonomisch begründete, Weltwirtschaftsordnung nach dem sogenannten Äquivalenzgrundsatz engagieren. Heinz Dieterichs Ansatz nimmt darüber hinaus kybernetische Ansätze zur Steuerung gesamtwirtschaftlicher Planungsprozesse zur Begründung eines „Computer-Sozialismus“ (Konrad Zuse) des 21. Jahrhunderts auf.

Ich muß allerdings meinem früheren langjährigen Freund Heinz gegenüber korrekt sein: zwei Jahre vor Chavez Tod schwante HD die progressive Malaise des Landes, woraufhin er sich zurückzog, wortlos natürlich, wie oft bei Linken in solchen Fällen üblich. Tatsächlich hat er die Liturgie des von Lateinamerika nun angeblich über die Welt kommenden „Sozialismus des 21. Jahrhunderts“ dem Big Hugo + seinem Papagei vollinhaltlich in den Mund gelegt.

Angaben der türkischen Wahlbehörde 52.187 ihre Stimme abgaben. Die Wahlbeteiligung von knapp 50 Prozent ist durchaus beachtlich, wenn man berücksichtigt, dass man nur in Bregenz, Salzburg und Wien seine Stimme abgeben konnte.
