NOT UNDER A GOOD STAR ! : Regime Delegation to “Geneva II” Stuck at Greek Airport for 4 Hours Because Refuelling Denied

21.1.2014 – Syrian State media reports that the Assad regime’s delegation to the “Geneva II” conference was delayed at Athens International Airport for four hours when it was prevented from refueling. Olympic Air said the situation was caused by factors beyond its control. Syrian media said the pilot was informed that he could not refuel because of European sanctions. The head of the Syrian delegation, Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem reportedly had to cancel a meeting with United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.

Press Release –  NCB Media Office- 21-1-2014 – MESOP – Last night Hassan Abdulazim, General Coordinator of the National Coordination Body for Democratic Change in Syria (NCB), received a phone-call from Ahmad al-Jarba, the President of the Syrian National Coalition, from Istanbul inviting him personally to attend with the Coalition’s delegation in the Geneva 2 conference on 22/1/2014. The answer of the Abdulazim was to refuse attendance, since he cannot attend as an individual within the Coalition delegation since he is a representative of the entire NCB, which has several political parties, forces and several renowned opposition figures.

Assad braucht die Jihadisten von Al Qaida und Jabhat al Nusra, ohne deren Existenz er nicht weiter erklären könnte, Syrien befände sich nicht im Bürgerkrieg sondern im “Kampf gegen den Terror”.

(CNN) — 21.1.2014 – A team of internationally renowned war crimes prosecutors and forensic experts has found “direct evidence” of “systematic torture and killing” by the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s regime, the lawyers on the team say in a new report.Their report, based on thousands of photographs of dead bodies of alleged detainees killed in Syrian government custody, would stand up in an international criminal tribunal, the group says.
