ISIS militants kidnap more than one hundred Kurds

Human rights organizations in Syria have said that 120 Syrian Kurds have been abducted by the Islamic State of Iraq and Sham (ISIS) close to the Turkish border. Six women were among them.

The organizations have revealed that ISIS has moved the victims to unknown locations.  Reports emerged earlier this month of ISIS militants attacking Kurdish villages near the Turkish border,   and 50 Kurds have allegedly been abducted in villages near Aleppo, with women and children among the victims.  The Kurdish region of Syria has witnessed fierce fighting between extremist groups and the People’s Protection Units (YPG), the military wing of Syrian Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD).

The United States said on Thursday it obtained information that Idris was in Turkey throughout the takeover. Idris denies he abandoned his post and claims he is in northern Syria overseeing military operations.
