PYD : PREPARING FOR FIGHT WITH ARABS ? / Kurd-Arab clash in northern Syria unavoidable, Salih Muslim says

24-11-2013 – Kurdpress – The leader of Syria pro-Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) Salih Muslim claimed clash between Kurdish and Arabic groups and parties in northern Syria is unavoidable due to the geographical structures of the region.

Speaking to Sterk TV, Muslim said the Kurdish regions belong to the Kurds and the Arabs should quit the regions one day since they have been settled in the regions due to the policies of the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. He further added Syria government has left some regions in Hassakah and Qamishlo, two Kurdish cities in Syria, to the extremist groups and the possibility of a Kurd-Arab fight is highly expected. Muslim, however, denied any possible clashes among Kurdish parties after rifts grew between the party and the lines close to Kurdistan Region President Massoud Barzani who denied in a statement that there is a people’s revolution in northern Syria. The PYD leader blamed Barzani’s remarks and called it intervention in the internal affair of Syria Kurds.
