New CPJ report harshly criticizes press freedom in Turkey

23-10-2012 – Press freedom in Turkey has reached a crisis point, with authorities engaging in the widespread criminal prosecution and jailing of journalists, and in addition applying other forms of severe pressure in order to enforce self-censorship, a report by the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) has found.
