As with Palmyra, @CJTFOIR coordinated with Russia to strike Abu Kamal in support of an Iranian-led offensive to retake the city and to defend against the IS counterattacks. Apparently, Russian long-range bombers and Kalibr cruise missiles weren’t enough.
