MESOP NEWS LATEST : Serious fuel shortages in cities of Iraqi Kurdistan

Nov 14, 2017 @ 13:00 – DEBKA FILES – ISRAEL – As temperatures began plummeting in mountainous Kurdistan, the Iraqi government which now controls most of Kirkuk’s oilfields since the Peshmerga’s defeat last month, has still not supplied the 30 million liters of fuel promised to the KRG for winter heating and cars. The former semiautonomous Kurdish republic is also broke, after transferring its last $80 million to foreign oil companies. Irbil is paying a high price for its defeat.
