MESOP NEWS BRUSSEL ANNOUNCEMENT : EU PARLIAMENT JOINT DEBATE ON TURKEY
NORTH KURDISTAN (TURKEY)
Dear all today,
Please be informed that later today (at around 18h00) the European Parliament in Strasbourg will have a formal “joint debate on Turkey” in the presence of VPC/HR Federica MOGHERINI, divided in two parts:
- “Current human rights situation in Turkey”;
- “Situation in Afrin, Syria”.

Members of the EP will also adopt a resolution winding up the debate: technically speaking, individual Political Groups have already tabled their own resolutions (not available yet, I’ll send it ASAP).
Then, later today / tomorrow morning, the individual resolutions will be merged in one “final compromise resolution” (I’ll circulate the text ASAP, its adoption is scheduled for Thursday 8th February at 12.00, use the link already mentioned if you want to follow the votes).
I’ll also circulate the final compromise resolution ASAP, including the final text as adopted by the plenary of the EP (Thursday, immediately after the votes).
