Crisis in Kurdistan Region would last till 2017: PUK deputy

A deputy from the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) in the local parliament of Kurdistan Region stated that the crisis in the autonomous Iraqi northern Kurdish region would continue till 2017, adding that ruling system in the region is still unsuitable.

Gorran Azad told VOA that ruling and governing system in the region is very unsuitable and inapt, warning that the situation would deteriorate and the crisis would continue till 2017 unless parliament activities are resumed and fundamental reforms are made. The PUK official added that the Kurdish region is not ready for possible future developments and cannot pass and put the constitution into action as long as parliament activities are suspended.He further reiterated on unity among political parties in the region and said all the parties are responsible for the situation and should try to find a solution to the crisis.   www.mesop.de
