PYD Security warns residents to obey their rules or leave the country
17.03.2014 – BasNews, Erbil – Security forces belonging to the Democratic Union Party (PYD) in Syrian Kurdistan have warned people against taking any action not expressly approved by PYD units. PYD security forces threatened to expel anyone who disobeys the order.
The announcement came from Jwan Ibrahim, the head of security in Syrian Kurdistan, who warned residents via his Facebook page to obey PYD rules. If they did not, he said, they would be expelled out of the country and send to Turkish or Kurdistan Region refugee camps. “There is propaganda against us, but the security forces don’t belong to any party and they act impartially,” said Ms. Ibrahim.
“If you see any group from PYD demonstrating for any reason, you also allow them to do so,” he added. “Anyone who is not happy with our rules is free to leave and live freely in Kurdistan Region’s Domiz Camp or in Turkish camps.”
