MESOP : KURDISH JOURNALIST KABOUDVAND LEFT PRISON

13 June 2016 – MESOP – The 54-year-old Iranian-Kurdish journalist and writer Mohammad Seddigh Kaboudvand has left the notorious Evin prison in Tehran. Firstly he will enjoy a four day parole.  Then he will be released completely.

Kaboudvend was editor of the weekly Payam-e Mardom-e Kurdistan, which has been publishing the prohibition of the ayatollahs justice system. he was sentenced in 2007 to ten and a half years in prison for the articles criticizing the current system in Iran through the “undermining of the Iranian state security “and for founding the politically independent organization for human rights in Kurdistan. www.mesop.de
