Following the recent developments in Turkey and President Erdogan’s takeover of all state institutions, including the judiciary, a Turkish court, which lacks justice and fairness, has issued an arrest warrant to arrest me by invoking fabricated baseless charges. This move indicates that the court’s ruling is a political decision, ordered by the governing authorities, which view every Kurd who demands the democratic rights of the Kurdish people through the prism of terrorism. Despite the fact that I am a Syrian Kurdish citizen who defends the democratic rights of all Syrians and the Kurdish people within the borders of the Syrian state.
Accordingly, I call upon all international political powers and the relevant institutions and authorities to take this ruling as a political decision that does not have a legal basis. The warrant was issued to obstruct my political and diplomatic activities with the parties concerned with the Kurdish and Syrian affairs.
