MESOP : CORRUPTION PRODUCES ISLAMISM – Iraqi Kurdistan parliament paralyzed, dictatorship looming, KIG says
6 March 2016 – SULAIMANI, Kurdistan region ‘Iraq’,— The Kurdistan Islamic Group (KIG) said on Saturday that Iraqi Kurdistan’s parliament is paralyzed by a cessation of democracy and is turning into a “dictatorship.” The KIG issued a statement commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Kurdish uprising against the Iraqi Ba’ath regime saying the economic and political crisis have brought the region back to “point zero” after 25 years of government.
“Now the people have no trust in the government’s excuses and they know Kurdistan has been robbed in the past due to corruption and officials becoming monopolists,” the statement read. www.mesop.de
