Iranian Kurdish PJAK held 4th Ordinary Congress

May 13, 2014 – Firat News – QANDIL,— Party for Free Life in Kurdistan (PJAK) held 4th Ordinary Congress in Media Defense Areas. The congress which was attended by 101 delegates witnessed the election of Abdulrehman Haji Ahmadi and Evîndar Rênas as co-presidents and a new 13-person assembly of the Party which has also adopted the co-presidency model.
In a statement about the congress, PJAK vowed to lead the political and ideological struggle in East Kurdistan, assuming responsibility for the building of a democratic society.
According to the statement, the political process in the Middle East and developments in Iran were evaluated during the PJAK Congress which a-it noted- has taken place in a historic process.
The statement pointed out that it is time for the nation state model as the present system which imposes cultural genocide doesn’t bring anything for the people any more.
Remarking that the Iranian state is not only facing a political and social crisis within itself but alsowww.Ekurd.net playing a part in the crisis in the Middle East, the statement underlined that “The Iranian regime must know that it will not be able to overcome this crisis unless it comes up with a solution to the Kurdish question.”
The statement stressed that PJAK will be giving a struggle in order for the resolution of the problems of Kurdish and all Iranian peoples.
The decisions made at the Congress were listed as follows;
1- PJAK gives a struggle and enhances resistance for the building of a free and democratic society on the basis of democratic, ecologic and gender libertarian paradigm
2- PJAK takes the establishment of KODAR (Eastern Organization for Freedom) as a historic step for the establishment of democratic confederalism
3- PJAK deems itself responsible for the building of a democratic society and leads the political and ideological struggle in East Kurdistan
4- PJAK sees the liberation of not only the Kurdish people but also all Iranian peoples in the democratic autonomy model and leads the formation of a democratic republic
5- Women are the leaders of the society. The PJAK which will perform all its works on this basis adopts the co-presidency system
6- Taking self-defense as a fundamental principle for a free and democratic society, PJAK regards this as one of the duties of the KODAR
7- PJAK predicate the resolution of the Kurdish question on democratic principles
8- PJAK bases itself on the ground of the unity of the Kurdish people and democratic politics
9- Unity among the democracy powers in Iran is a must. On this basis, PJAK calls for a common struggle by all the democracy powers
