The murder of the Syrian regime loyalist Mohammed Darrar Jammo in Lebanon, now said to have been an internal family affair, led to much firing in the air. At Jammo’s funeral in Latakia, there was a heavy presence of militiamen, and militiawomen, who were there to pay their respects to the dead. These fighters belong to a group now known as the Popular Front for the Liberation of Iskanderoun/Syrian Resistance, which considered Jammo one of their own. It is led by a certain Mihrac Ural, who works under the nom de guerre of Ali Kayali.

For the past few days in Southwest Kurdistan – Rojava (Syria) terrorist groups have surrounded the town of Kobane, one of the three cantons declared by the Kurds, and are threatening a massacre. The objective of these gangs to surround and capture Kobane is indirectly being supported by the Turkish and Syrian states. It is a well known fact that the fighters of these gangs are receiving military and logistical support through the Akcakale border crossing (Akcakale is the Turkish-Syrian border crossing controlled by ISIS on the Syrian side) from the Turkish state. At the same time, these gangs are going to Kobane in front of the eyes of the Syrian state and military; they remain silent.

… die Illusion dieser Einwort-Diplomatie der deutschen Bundesregierung („Einbinden“) ist schon so oft lächerlich vorgeführt worden, daß sie seit einiger Zeit schon keiner der Herrschaften mehr in den Mund nimmt.
Nun Rainer Hermann doch wieder: dem noch nicht aufgegangen ist, daß Tehran sich über Leute wie Lady Ashcroft und ihn nur noch lustig macht.
Folgt man der selbstsuggestiven Pseudologik des Einbindens, warum eigentlich dann nach dem Verlust Russlands (Einbindung hier gescheitert!) nun wieder der Iran ?
Da capo al fine, wie das Spiel heißt, würde doch nun einzig bedeuten, Al Assad selber endlich wieder einzubinden, möglichst ohne daß er es überhaupt merkt, weil nur wir es wissen. Das war doch schon mal so!

This week the U.S. said it shut down the Syrian embassy in Washington and consulates in Michigan and Washington, calling them “an insult,” given President Bashar al-Assad’s assault on his people. March 23, 2014 02:22 PM Reuters – BEIRUT: A Syrian plane was shot down on Sunday in the northern border region with Turkey where rebels have been battling President Bashar Assad’s forces, activists and regional media said. – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights quoted local residents as saying the plane was brought down by shooting from the Turkish side of the border. Al Manar, the television station of Lebanon’s Hezbollah group, said two rockets were fired from Turkish territory. But Turkish media quoted officials as denying Turkey had shot it down and said Syrian rebels were responsible.
