Barzani meets Turkey Kurdish deputies behind closed doors

19-11-2013 – Kurdpress – The President of Kurdistan Region Massoud Barzani held a meeting on Sunday in Diyarbakir with the Kurdish deputies in Ankara Parliament, Radikal daily said.The one- hour meeting was held behind closed doors, where Barzani and the Kurdish deputies discussed amnesty general for the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) members and the situation of Syria Kurds.

Ahmet Turk, Layla Zana, Sirri Sakik, Altan Tan and Assa’ad Canan along with Diyarbakir Kurdish mayor Osman Baidemir, ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) Advisor Abdulrahman Kurd and AKP deputy Galip Ansarioglu were the Kurdish officials with whom Barzani discussed amnesty for the PKK and the situation of Kurds in Syria crisis.

The meeting was held while Kurdistan region flag was behind the attendees along with that of Turkey. According to Radikal daily, Barzani has told Turkey Kurdish officials that amnesty for the PKK is on the way which may include its leader Abdullah Ocalan. Barzani further blamed Syria pro- Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) self- oriented moves and said he expected all Syria Kurdish parties to remain committed to Erbil Agreement which makes all Syria Kurdish parties to remain under Kurdish National Council. Turkey Media reported that Barzani has already reached consensus with Turkey PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan over the issues.
