The director-general of the Russian think-tank RIAC, Andrey Kortunov, shares pro-Kremlin philosopher Alexander Dugin’s appraisal: post-modernism is in decline. Post-modernism can be considered a core concept of liberalism. Basnews English – 27/03/2017 – ERBIL — Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) affiliates around the Yezidi town of Sinjar kidnapped a Swedish national who had joined the Kurdistan Region’s Peshmerga forces to fight the Islamic State (IS).
51-year-old Swedish national, named as Tonny by the Aftonbladet News, managed this weekend to send his brother a text message, saying that he has been taken captive by a Kurdish armed group, and was pleading for help.
His brother told Aftonbladet that the YBS fighters have captured Tony. YBS (Sinjar Resistance Units) is an armed group operating within the PKK in and around Sinjar, north of Iraq.“It feels like hell. He went down there to do something good, and it goes like this,” Tony’s brother said, confirming that he had joined the Peshmerga forces nearly 1.5 year ago to support the Kurds against the extremists.”I think those that keep me are a bunch of thieves who are out of control,” Tony told his brother in the text message. The Swedish Foreign Ministry has reportedly confirmed the detention of Tony by the PKK affiliates, but further details are yet to be released.
