Very unusual to see people protesting in Erbil, where security services usually keep tight clampdown on such things. Shows the extent of the problem the KDP faces right now.
People are complaining about the lack of freedom to protest and demand their basic rights. A protester says the secret agents of the ruling party KDP are chasing and beating protesters. In the meantime, a local official (pictured) attacked journalists while covering the protest.
