Rockets are increasingly fired at US bases and the airport and Green Zone. At least 11 incidents since May in Baghdad, Taji, Assad, Balad, Q-West and elsewhere. Now Reuters notes “A senior U.S. military official said on Wednesday attacks by Iranian-backed groups on bases hosting U.S. forces in Iraq were gathering pace and becoming more sophisticated, pushing all sides closer to an uncontrollable escalation.” It’s gettingworse.
