WEST KURDISTAN (SYRIA) : YPG forces kill three Kurdish villagers

Kurdpress 25.6.2013 – Three Kurdish villagers in Syria Tel Ghazal village in Kurdish city of Kobani were killed by the military forces of People’s Defense Units (YPG). Reports said the killed villagers have been members of al- Party, known as having links with Kurdistan Region president Massoud Barzani.

Speaking to Kurdpress, Zara Mastu, a media activist in the city confirmed the event but denied the slain villagers have been the members of al- Party. “None of the slain people have been armed and they were not members of al- Party,” Mastu added. The reality is the Tel Ghazal villagers have not allowed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) affiliated members in their village in the past 20 years, he said, adding that the forces of YPG, the military branch of PKK, entered the village and asked investigating the farms of some villagers for reports about planting drags in the lands. The villagers have reportedly banned the forces to investigate their farms and shouted slogans against PKK jailed leader Abdullah Ocalan and the forces opened fire on the farmers, leaving three persons dead and five others wounded. “Tel Ghazal has always been inclined to Barzani and is a people base of al- Party,” Mastu concluded.
