WEST KURDISTAN : Islamist Groups Surround Kurdish Groups in Tal Abayd
Hawar reports that Ahrar al-Sham and ISIS want to close Mala Gel (People’s House) in Tal Abayd and surrounded it. Moreover, they closed the entrance to Tal Abayd and put snipers in strategic positions. Tal Abayd is quite close to Ras al-Ain and was used before in earlier fights between Islamists and Kurds to resupply Ras al-Ain with Islamist fighers. In June, a Kurdish FSA group close to YPG was created in the area when relations improved between PKK and the Turkish state. The Mala Gel was created in the beginning of April.
