WAITING FOR APO’S COMMENTARY

Erdogan waiting Ocalan’s stance on PKK withdrawal Turkey Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is waiting the jailed leader of Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) Abdullah Ocalan to comment on the withdrawal of the party’s forces from Turkey, reports said.

Erdogan has for three times in a row postponed the release of his government’s democracy package and Turkey media linked the issue to Erdogan’s waiting to hear Ocalan’s comment on the withdrawal of PKK forces, who announced they have stopped their withdrawing process in protest to Ankara’s failure to take the promised steps in the peace talks.

Turkey minister for EU Affairs, Egmen Bagis stated yesterday that Erdogan will announce the content of the peace package on September 17.

A pro- Kurdish Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) delegation is due to meet Ocalan today and receive his letter written for PKK officials in Qandil Mountains in which he will announce his stance towards PKK withdrawing process.
