ÖCALAN PRAISES BARZANI POLICIES IN SOUTH KURDISTAN
Ocalan calls Barzani the leader of all Kurds
The jailed leader of Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) Abdullah Ocalan hails the policies of Kurdistan Region president Massoud Barzani and called him the leader of all Kurds, Milliyet daily said in a report.
During an Ocalan’s meeting in Imrali prison with a visiting delegation of Peace and Democracy Party (BDP), Ocalan gave the delegation a letter to be delivered to Barzani. Ocalan, in the letter, called Barzani the leader of all Kurds and said a person who has achieved half of the rights of the Kurds can achieve the rest, the report said. Ocalan also praised the policies of Barzani in Kurdistan Region and said he is a Barzani’s Peshmarga, a term referred to Kurdish fighters. Ocalan further said expects Barzani to back the pullout of PKK forces from Turkey soil and protect the life of the outlawed party’s militants. BDP and Barzani-led Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) have not commented on the letter that was mirrored in many Turkey agencies and news papers.
