THIRD CORRUPTION REPORT SOUTH KURDISTAN
KIE report on media coverage of corruption in the Kurdistan Region
The Kurdistan Institute for Elections (KIE) monitored local media coverage of significant corruption issues during the months of July and August and it has published a report on its findings.
It says key objectives of this exercise were to:
• Encourage media outlets in Kurdistan to play a more positive role in addressing the corruption issue in the region.
• Strengthen the role of civil society organizations in monitoring this coverage
• Train staff to specialize in this monitoring
