THE EASTERN DIRECTION: MOSCOW & TEHRAN : Syria opposition group meets Iranian officials in Tehran
16.10.2013 – MESOP – A group of Syrian oppositions from Tansiq Council met Iranian officials during a four- day visit to Tehran. Visiting Iran at the official request of Iran’s foreign ministry, the group met a number of Iranian high- profile officials including Deputy Foreign Minister Amir Abdullahian.
“We visited Iran at the official invitation of foreign ministry and were planned to met Dr. Zarif (Iranian FM Javad Zarif) but it didn’t happen due to his busy plans,” a Kurdish member of the council Jamal Baqi told Kurdpress on phone. He added the presence of Syria opposition lines in Geneva II conference was the main topic the two sides discussed.
