Syrian Kurdish parties deny meeting Abdulbaset Sieda
23.6.2013 – Kurdpress – The Kurdish parties of Syria, forming Kurds National Council (KNC), the main body of the Kurds, denied to Kurdpress having meeting with Syria National Council (KNC) ex- chairman Abdulbaset Sieda.
Speaking to Kurdpress, the KNC chairman Faisal Yusuf rejected his council had any meeting with Sieda and said there has been no serious discussion in that regard. Meanwhile Abdulhakim Bashar, the chief of al-Party, close to Kurdistan Region president Massoud Barzani, said he is personally unaware of such a meeting. He added he respects Sieda greatly but he is a political activist in the Syria opposition body and cannot be a right source for meeting the demands of the Kurds. We have had no meeting with Sieda during his three- day presence in Kurdistan Region, a source close to Democratic Union party (PYD), affiliated with Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) told Kurdpress. Speaking to Anatolia news agency, Sieda said he has had meetings with the leaders of Syria Kurdish parties. He added Barzani has supported him.
