Suleymaniah Rights Groups protest Police violence / WADI GERMANY
Today members of Ziyan, a network of Suleymaniah based Rights Groups, protested against a violent incident taking place two days ago.
On 25th of November, the International Day to Combat Violence Against Women, a group of women gathered for a demonstration that was violently dispersed by the police, claiming the demonstrators did not register their event in advance.
Ziyan spokesperson Bahar Munzir condemned the police violence and called for an official investigation.
Wadi is a founding member of Ziyan group.
