Serekaniye / Ras al-Ayn : Still Tense But No Fighting
PKK spokesperson told Xendan PKK would start sending insurgents if Turkey keeps supporting armed groups to fight against the YPG in Ras al-Ayn (Serekaniye). Allegedly tribal sheikh Nawaf al-Bashir was paid money by Turkey (who was involved in the fighting), but he was recently fired. There were negotiations between the Syrian opposition and the Supreme Kurdish Council, but so far no agreement yet. They only stopped fighting and the PKK statement indicates fighting could erupt again. FSA statement on FB from Free Syrian Army said no agreement between FSA and YPG, denying posts on Kurdish youth group FB pages.
