HDP co-leader thinks PKK should lay down arms
21 Feb 2015 – WAAR DOHUK – Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Co-leader has denied reports about the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) laying down arms by next month, but he said he supported the idea.Selahattin Demirtaş, in a statement in a conference, said that Turkey and the Middle East were passing through a critical process. He criticized Turkish democracy, especially the ruling Justice and Development Party, for prohibiting the freedom of demonstration. Regarding the Peace Process between Ankara and PKK, he said that the ruling party was blocking it from becoming a reality by spreading lies.
