Rebel battalion detains Kurdish citizens & hands them over to the Nusra front

Belated SOHR update: 26 Kurds Killed in Aleppo

Aleppo: Activists reported that rebel battalion checkpoint near the town of Tal’arn have detained 13 Kurdish citizens and have handed them over to al-Nusra front fighters in the city of al-Safeera – who reportedly tortured their detainees – while the death of 26 Kurdish citizens (1 young girl amongst them) have been documented between the 29th of July and the 5th of August in the towns of Tal’arn and Tal Hasil; 5 of whom from Tal Haasil and 19 from Tal’arn, 10 of those killed were fighters from the Kurdish front [Liwaa’ Jabhat il-Akraad].

Activists mentioned that family members of the killed and wounded refrain from reporting the murder of injury of their relatives out of fear from the ISIS, al-Nusra and rebel fighters attacks, who usually detain them, as has been the case for over 250 citizens from the towns of Tal’arn and Tal Hasil. As a result, it has become increasingly difficult to document the dead and wounded. Furthermore, a lot of the dead have been buried secretly by their families out of fear that ISIS and al-Nusra fighters might discover about their relationships. Activists have mentioned that many injured citizens from Tal’arn and Tal Hasil who were in hospitals have been executed by ISIS and al-Nusra fighters, under allegations of bearing arms against the ISIS and al-Nusra front. Activists verified that rebel fighters have also been participating in attacks on Tal’arn and Tal Hasil alongside ISIS and al-Nusra fighters
