PKK’s letter delivered to state officials: Demirtas

MESOP 18.3.2013 –  Pro-Kurdish Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) Co-chairperson Selahattin Demirtas said on Sunday that letters from the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and Kurdish groups in Europe have been delivered to Turkish state officials to be forwarded to jailed PKK leader Abdullah Ocalan.

Speaking to reporters, Demirtas said both the PKK and the European branch of the Kurdish movement sent their responses to a letter earlier sent by Ocalan to define the roadmap in the ongoing peace efforts aiming to find a political and peaceful solution to the decades-old Kurdish dispute, Zaman daily said. A letter from Ocalan addressed to the commanders of the PKK bases in the Qandil Mountains in Northern Iraq was given to its addressees earlier this month.
