PKK WILL DECLARE OWN SEPARATE LAWS : Murat Karayilan
MESOP – 9.10.2013 – The Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) will pass its own laws if Ankara stops short of taking needed steps in ending its Kurdish conflict, PKK military branch Chief Murat Karayilan was quoted by Firat news agency as saying.
“Turkey should legislate needed laws in the peace talks otherwise they should know that the PKK will do it,” he said, asking how the Kurdish conflict can end if the Kurds do not control their own regions. Karayilan added there would be no solution to the PKK- Turkey peace talks if Kurdish language is not taught as the second official language in the country. He further blamed Turkey Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and added he is the one that has to be blamed if the peace talks fail. “We would not break ceasefire despite Turkey military forces’ attacks on mountainous regions (where PKK has bases),” Karayilan also said.
