PKK senior member arrested in Brussels

26 March 2013 /TODAYSZAMAN.COM, İSTANBUL – A senior member of the terrorist Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) was arrested on Monday at an airport in Brussels as he was about to depart for Tunisia.

An arrest warrant had been issued for Yılmaz O., who had long been living in Spain, by the Spanish National Court as part of an investigation into the PKK’s illegal financial activities. A written statement released by the Spanish Interior Ministry said Belgian police aided by their Spanish colleagues arrested the PKK member on Monday at the Zaventem airport in Brussels as he was preparing to fly to Tunisia.
