PKK blames Kurdistan Region, asks Erbil to reopen Syria border
WEST KURDISTAN (SYRIA) : Kurdpress 16.6.2013 – The leading council of Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) blamed Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) for shutting the region’s border with Syrian Kurdish regions, PKK- affiliate news agency of Firat said.
Calling the move non-Kurdish and unpatriotic, the leading council of PKK said the present situation puts Syria Kurds in a hard situation and called KRG to open the border soon. – “While Efrin Kurds are withstanding the attackers, Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq has sent 3000 Peshmarga forces and shut its northern border with Syria,” the council said, warning the continuance of the situation means aiding the sanctions against Syria Kurds.
