Parliament commission asks Ankara to negotiate with Ocalan

11-12-2013 – Kurdpress – The peace commission in Turkey Parliament asked for official negotiation with the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) jailed Leader Abdullah Ocalan and other leaders of the party to end Kurdish conflict in the country, T24 website said.

Releasing a 450- page report about the Kurdish conflict in Turkey, the commission advised Ankara to negotiate officially with the party leaders even if Turkey sees the PKK a terrorist organization.

To arrive to a clear- cut conclusion we should set at a table and do not forget if the negotiations are not official then “war- merchants” would destroy everything, the report added, threatening that there would be war if one side of the negotiation feels it has been betrayed.Turkey PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has repeatedly stressed Ankara- PKK talks are not official negotiations between Ocalan and the government.
