Dozens of fighters were killed in overnight clashes in Yemen as Iran-backed Houthi rebels intensified attacks to seize the government’s last northern stronghold, officials told AFP on Sunday.

- “U.S. intelligence shows that China has conducted human testing on members of the People’s Liberation Army in hope of developing soldiers with biologically enhanced capabilities,” wrote then Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe, in a December 3 Wall Street Journalop-ed titled “China Is National Security Threat No. 1.”
- All these Chinese moves are meant to obtain “biological dominance.” “There are,” as Ratcliffe noted, “no ethical boundaries to Beijing’s pursuit of power.”
- The experiment evoked the eugenics program of the Third Reich to create a “master race.”
- Shenzhen’s He [Jenkui], after an international uproar caused by news of his dangerous and unethical work, was fined and jailed for “illegally carrying out human embryo gene-editing,” but in the Communist Party’s near-total surveillance state he obviously had state backing for his experiments…. Beijing’s prosecution of He, therefore, looks like an attempt to cool down the furor and prevent the international scientific community from further inquiry into China’s activities.

On September 15, 2020, the UAE and Israel signed an agreement that opened the road to cooperation between them. Since then, over the last five months, bilateral trade has reached almost NIS 1 billion. It is a nice start. They can do much more together.
The two countries share similar political, military and economic interests. One of the most important one is joining forces against their common enemies: Iran and its proxies. Iran has been the biggest regional threat to Israel and Arab states such as the UAE. Iran strives to produce a nuclear weapon, and it is getting close. In January 2021, Iran once again breached the 2015 nuclear deal, enriching uranium with a larger number of advanced centrifuges. Iran is getting closer to having a nuclear weapon, which will have severe ramifications not only for Israel and Arab states but also for other states as well, including the leading world power, the United States.

After years of sanctions from the West, the Russian Federation declared yesterday it is ready to severe ties with the European Union.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in an interview with the Soloviev LIVE Youtube channel that Moscow does not rule out the possibility of cutting ties with the EU if Brussels introduces sanctions that create risks for sensitive sectors of the Russian economy, reported Russian state news agency TASS.
“We are ready to cut ties if it happens on the initiative of the EU. For our part, we strongly call on the EU to establish equal and mutually respectful cooperation, which is what [Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov] said,” the Russian Foreign Ministry declared.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov later clarified the comments.
