Over 40 village guards, who declined to step up onto military operations, have taken away weapons all together in Narli village bound to Catak district of Van. They were summoned by soldiers and the soldiers forced them to step up onto military operations. Over 40 village guards came to Catak District Governorate at the early days of the day with 3 minibuses and presented to their resignation letters to the district governorate. One village guard, “The soldiers came to our village yesterday and brought us to Narli Outpost. Here, a commander forced us to step up onto military operations with them. We did not accept this. Upon this, they reviled at us. We came to district in the morning and took away weapons all together. Now, we are waiting from them to come and take the weapons. We will not take them from now on. Already, there is no other village guards in our village. We took away weapons all together,” said.
