News Update: Russia boosts its war fleet in east Mediterranean
DEBKAfile August 29, 2013, 12:19 PM (GMT+02:00) – A Russian anti-submarine ship and a missile cruiser will be sent in the coming days to the eastern Mediterranean for “necessary adjustments” to its naval force in view of the Syrian crisis. This was reported by the Interfax news agency Thursday quoting the Russian armed forces general staff.
DEBKAfile: One of the vessels is the “Moskva” missile cruiser– flagship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet – which boasts the strongest fire power of any Russian warship.
