Syria’s Military Strikes Civilians – Human Rights Watch Report  – 17.8.2012
On Wednesday, a Syrian government fighter jet bombed a residential neighborhood, killing more than 40 civilians and wounding at least 100 – many women and children – in the town of Azaz. Human Rights Watch investigated the site two hours later.

Additionally, government fighter planes twice attacked a main hospital in an opposition-controlled area of Aleppo. The attacks killed four civilians and wounded five. Human Rights Watch visited Dar al Shifaa Hospital an hour later to examine the damage and rocket remnants. “We had just finished surgery and moved to the second floor when the rockets hit,” one doctor said. “If they had hit just minutes before we would have all been dead.”
