Nechirvan Barzani fails to accord with Change leader

7-2-2014 – Kurdpress – The Wednesday meeting between Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), the winner party of the Kurdish region in last parliament elections, and main opposition change Movement failed to reach a concrete accord between the two sides.

Led by deputy Leader Nechirvan Barzani, the KDP delegation visited Change Leader Nawshirwan Mustafa at the opposition party’s office in Sulaymaniya.

There was no official statement or press conference at the end of the gathering. The two sides underlined speeding up efforts in establishing the self- ruling enclave’s new cabinet, a member of Change Movement, Aram Sheikh Muhammad told Radio Nawa. Meetings between KDP and former co- ruling Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and the three opposition parties of the region have discussed forming the new government but the briefings have been to no avail.
