Nationalists attack Kurdish party leader & woman sets herself on fire in protest to BDP
The co- leader of Democratic Party (HDP) Sebahat Tuncel was attacked by Turkish nationalists in Adirne city.
21.2.2014 – BasNews: Some 30 nationalists attacked the Kurdish leader’s bus as a number of HDP members went to the city to campaign for upcoming Turkey municipality elections. “This is our land not the home of murderers and terrorists,” the attackers shouted, with some HDP members receiving injures in the attacks. Meanwhile a Kurdish woman in Dogo Bayizid, a city in Kurdish province of Agri, set herself on fire in protest to Pro- Kurdish Peace and Democracy Party’s (BDP) decision not to include her name in the party’s municipality council list. She was survived by friends and neighbors and was later transferred to hospital.
