U.S. says does not accept Syrian Kurdish cantons – The U.S. says does not accept the Kurdish cantons in northern Syria.
3 Feb 2015 MESOP – U.S. Department of State Spokesman Jen Psaki told a press conference yesterday that her country does not recognize the three Kurdish cantons in northern Syria. She reiterated that this is the policy the U.S. has taken from the beginning of developments in northern Syria. Psaki went on to say that whatever military aid to Iraqi Kurds is conducted with Baghdad accord.
