MESOP LATEST : Kurdish Swede creates first Kurdish search engine
BasNews: – 28-12-2013 – The fist web search engine in the Kurdish language was launched on Friday. Egerin is similar to Google and allows the approximately 40 million Kurds around the world to find and share information online in their native tongue.
It is as simple as Google in that web pages and meta data appear on the search result pages, and users can also search videos, images and news. According to SBWire, the information can be shared through an integrated blog system, which can be set up by entering an email address. A standard email/password login enables users to access their account. Egerin was founded by Kawa Onatli, a kurdish businessman who lives in Sweden. Onatli wanted to provide a more specialized search engine that could benefit the large Kurdish community around the world.
