MESOP INTERNATIONAL LAW HAS TO BE RESPECTED : Peshmerga ministry cannot send forces to Syria: Jabar Yawar
22-9-2014 – Kurdpress – The secretary general of Kurdistan Region’s Ministry of Peshmerga Jabar Yawar said it is against the international laws for the ministry to send forces to Syria Kurdish regions to fight against the militants of the Islamic State (IS).
The jihadist group has launched an insurgency on the Kurdish region of Syria and has captures dozens of villages, killed many people and displaced thousands.
There have been demands from the ministry of Peshmerga to send forces to Syria to defend people against the extremist, ruthless group. According to international law Syria has its own government and it is against illegal to send forces to the state, Yawar was quoted by NRT as saying. He reiterated that the ministry in negotiating with the US officials to aske the recently-formed anti-IS coalition to help Syrian Kurds through air and by bombing the radical group and its bases.
