2015/01/31 – Waar, Duhok: The time for attacking Islamic State (IS) controlled city of Mosul has not been set yet, US Defense Department said.The spokesman of the department John Kirby said that Iraqi forces were not prepared for the attack. Meanwhile, Kurdistan Prime Minister had told Reuters that the probability of launching the attack on Mosul in spring was weak, believing that autumn was a better timing. US officials have repeatedly said the attack, led by Iraqi forces and backed by coalition air force, could start in spring. However, the Kurds are not willing to participate in the fight, Barzani said.
