By LKFF: 11.4.2013 – London Kurdish Film Festival (LKFF) is pleased to announce that we have moved to our new office located between Portobello Road and Ladbroke Grove, in the West 10 area, the heart of artistic London.

This office will host our staff and volunteers as well as give us access to a wealth of resources to facilitate our activities in the future. We are very excited about this move and hope to welcome you there in the near future.

LKFF has come a long way since its inception in 2001. We have held seven successful festivals that not only started a trend in the industry, but also set the standard for many similar film festivals organised around the world. Over the past 12 years we have been relying on the dedication of our volunteers and the commitment of our sponsors to maintain the momentum and push the organisation forward achieving a rising profile and high esteem of which we are all very proud. This office will help us to propel the organisation and the standards of the Festival to the next level of professionalism and efficiency.

We would like to register our infinite gratitude and endless thanks to all those volunteers who gave so much of their time in their endeavour to hold these successive festivals. We also would like to thank our sponsors who, through their donations, facilitated these festivals and enabled us to introduce Kurdish creativity and artistic productivity from all over the world both the Kurdish community in London as well as the British public.

LKFF has also undergone an organisational restructuring that has injected new blood and charged it with a more professional pulse guaranteeing expert input as well as maintaining the deeply-rooted connection of the organisation within the Kurdish community in London and the Kurdish cinematic community at large. We are at this moment engaged in planning the 8th LKFF, which will be announced in the very near future. We would like to invite all Directors, Producers and Distributors of films that fall within the remit of our festival, be it feature films, short films, documentaries or animations, to contact us as soon as possible.

Please note that Mr. Mustafa Gundogdu is no longer active within the London Kurdish Film Festival and we would like to thank him for his contributions.
