Kurds National Congress needed to be held soon: Demirtas
14-1-2014 – Kurdpress – Turkey pro- Kurdish Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) co- Leader Selahattin Demirtas underlined unity among Kurdish political parties and holding the so-called Kurds National Congress that is due to gather all Kurdish parties in Iraq, Turkey, Iran and Syria in a meeting, Ilkehaber said.
Demirtas told Turkey media analysts in a meeting in Istanbul that Kurds are playing an important role in Middle East developments and “we believe there is no pretext to call off the congress. The Kurdish parties should unite and hold the meeting in Erbil soon.” The BDP co- chair further lashed out at Turkey and its wrong foreign policies and noted Ankara zero tension policy with neighbors has changed to “conflict will all”.
