KNC & PYD meet in Qamishli

ANHA reports there was a meeting between the PYD’s People’s Council of West-Kurdistan and the Kurdish National Council on Geneva II in Qamishli. It was confirmed by Welati. It’s not clear if the Barzani-backed parties support this plan, but it seems they want to have an unified position for Geneva and reactivate the Supreme Kurdish Council. The upcoming Geneva conference might force the Syrian Kurds to have a more united position, since divided they wouldn’t achieve as much in Geneva II as if they were united. Nevertheless, Yekiti media published an article with the reasons why the KNC didn’t join the interim administration project to clarify the KNC position. The KNC and PYD couldn’t agree on the interim administration project of the PYD neither on working together in the Supreme Kurdish Council.
