Israeli Businessmen start Trade with KRG Region

23.2.2014 – MESOP – A number of Israeli businessmen want to export Israeli sweets to the Kurdistan Region as well as opening a farm.

According to Israeli Newspaper, Yedioth Ahronoth, a number of Israeli businessmen want to bring their country’s sweet products to the Kurdistan Region and from there export products to other parts of Iraq too. The newspaper also revealed that a delegation from the Kurdistan Region visited an Israeli village to inspect the farm. The visit came upon request of Israel’s biggest dairy factory, Afimilk, with branches in more than 50 countries worldwide. If the company were to build a factory in Kurdistan, it would become the biggest dairy product factory in Iraq.
